Slow develpment and websockets


It’s been a whole month since the last announcement, and development on the server is nowhere near complete. Apart from school starting, there are 3 main things making development on the server slower than I feel it should be.

1 : The fact that this is the first time I’ve ever worked with Web Sockets. 2 : The fact that this is my first game. 3 : The fact that I’m just a bone head.

After asking Stack Overflow to help me with an issue that was embarrassingly easy to fix, so far I’ve pulled together a jumpy and glitchy tech demo.

Hopefully I can get a working server/client within the next few months. I’m making a server/client so I’ll have sort of a template for future updates while the game still has less than 1K lines of code.
